    Default New to quilting

Hi. I have been quilting for about a year now and would like to upgrade to a better FMQ computerized machine. What are some good recommendations for under $1000.
    Thanks

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Make a list of the features you want in a machine, needle up/down feature is good for FMQ and try some out. Most of the major brands have a machine under $1000. If you are looking for computerized designs, as far as I know that is only available on long arm computerized machines or the computerized sit down machines.

Welcome to the board! I just bought a Juki for under $1000 but it's for FMQ- straight stitch only. It's mechanical, not computerized.

I really don't have advice on a computerized machine. I bought a low-end Bernina when I started quilting quite a few years ago. It has definitely been a great investment. Welcome from the beautiful mountains of western NC.

Welcome from California. You can also check with your local quilt shops (LQS) for used machines. Many people upgrade their machine and the LQS will sell the used ones. They usually are well taken care of and have records of service work and updates. Good Luck.

Welcome from the Northern Neck of Virginia As for a machine - I love my Juki and think it's a wonderful FMQ choice!
