Default quilt found a good home

I still have a couple dozen of the tiny piece quilts my late DH made and have been trying to dispose of them, mainly to charity fundraisers. But it is discouraging knowing they don't bring much in.

When I moved back to Vermont I reconnected with a fellow quilter that we had both known before, she is alone like me and lives one town away. She was nice enough to give up half her day to take me in for an outpatient procedure at the hospital, when I couldn't drive myself due to anesthesia hangover (hospital rules). Wouldn't take any money, not even for gas.

So I gave her one of the quilts. I let her pick it out. I had been wanting to give her one anyway as she was a big fan of our quilting and I knew it would be very appreciated. It is a tiny piece Log Cabin but each strip is made of tiny squares.

Win-win situation and as a bonus we will probably be getting together for Thanksgiving. So nice to have a new (old) friend !

What a beautiful quilt and beautiful story! I can't even imagine the work that went into creating it. Tiny pieces and it looks like it was all put together by hand sewing it and then hand quilting. What a talented hubby. So glad for you that someone will enjoy it. Thanks for sharing.
