Converting front fork feet to side mounters

Converting front fork feet to side mounters
I have a Kenmore 117XXX that has those front fork feet (just found out they're front loading low shank feet) and the little ringy dingy that secures them. Is there a way to convert these to regular old low shank side mount feet? I'm hoping for a link....

It would not be easy since there is no allowace for the for the inbetween device (low shank to low shank). On the other hand, accessories for the straight stitch Kenmores turn up on ebay regularly. They were often luxuriously equipped with loads of feet; binder, feller, ruffler, zipper, and I have seen buttonholer sets as well. I guess that might be the best way about it if you want to keep your machine original and don't have a lathe machine and metal work shop to makeup something your self.
Models like the old back clamp Singer 66 has a different fitting to the presser bar and it allows for a converting attachment and still get the right hight with out any more fuzz. The same with the Bernina coverting foot; Bernina has much taller feet than the average low shank.
