Default Update on email from quilting board to email address not associated with board

I had another thread about an email from quilting board to another email address Not associated with the board. PatriceJ suggested removing myself from the Daily Digest emails which I did.

that was several weeks ago I think.

and today I got another one of those emails to that same email address Not associated with quilting board but this time I found a tiny unsubscribe button. So we'll see.

This is to an email address, not a pop up and not specific to safari or iPad.

They were marketing a new bernina. I don't own a bernina. I have not visited a bernina store or signed up from anything from them.

I had another thought that removing myself from the daily digest couldn't have worked anyway, because that is a totally different email. I'll see if the unsubscribe works.

Probably not. You have just verified that your email address is valid and available for other offers. I've received a warning to buy the new BMW before the discount expires. I laughed myself silly. Me? Buy a BMW with my limited income? They flattered me!!

I got the same Bernina email. But I have a Bernina, so it looks like it was a mass-emailing.

I also got the email for the Bernina. I don't own a bernina, nor have I been surfing the web for a new machine of any brand. I have gotten this email before and never clicked on it--just deleted it. The last one, about two days ago, I scrolled to the bottom, and it cited the email was from quiltboard.com . I unsubscribed as well. We'll see what happens.

The email list we have for our newsletters is separate from your registered forum email. If you used the unsubscribe link, you should no longer receive newsletters to that particular email.

And that is the mystery. I unsubscribed from the daily digest cisseffully. The email address I use for all aspects of quiltingboard the same. It is Not the one that the email with the Bernina ad came from. Let me repeat. They are two different emails. The bernina email said it was from quiltingboard. I am curious how "they" got my Other email address. Not the one I use for quiltingboard.
