Default A quilt in a day

I started and finished this quilt today. It is a doll quilt for a sweet girl at church named Kristin who is friends with my daughter. She got a doll a couple of years ago as a gift, and named her Emmaline after my daughter. A few weeks ago, she brought the doll to church and said she wanted Emmaline to have her. Of course Emmaline was thrilled and carried the doll around nearly nonstop until yesterday when she got a couple of new dolls for Christmas. As a thank you we decided to make Kristin's favorite doll a dolly quilt. Emmaline picked four fabrics and I worked on it today.

It measures 31" square. I pieced and quilted it on my wife's Pfaff Creative 3.0. The backing fabric has been in our stash for a while; we bought it for Emmaline because she loves birdies, but it was such a good match for this quilt we decided to use it. We'll be sure to tell Kristin that it is a special Emmaline fabric.

Thanks for looking,

Darren

Love your story and your doll quilt. These are the things that make special memories for children. This doll quilt will be a treasure for many years. The time you spent doing this is very well spent.
