Default Fading advice

I washed a new pillowcase with a quilt and the border of the pillowcase bled into a small section of my quilt. I used Color Catchers so I was surprised that it went into the quilt. I spotted the faded area before I put the quilt in the dryer, so of course I didn't dry it. Any ideas on removing the pink color ??? I need help!!

If the pink bled into the quilt, I would hand wash that area with mild soap to see if it would come out. If that didn't help, I might try oxyclean but be careful it doesn't fade the other fabrics.

The last time I had a color bleed on my quilt, I didn't notice it and it was red too. I had dried it before I noticed it but someone here told me to go ahead and wash it again with another color catcher and I was surprised, the red came out just fine. Saved by this site's advice.

The reason is that you confined the quilt inside the pillow case. If you wash it again with say 5 or 6 color catchers, but don't confine the quilt, just put on delicate, it will give the dye laden water space to escape from the quilt.

Next time make a large plain fabric case if you think you need to confine the quilt.

For 13 years I dyed fabric for my rag rug business and bought plenty of color catchers. I was amazed at what they were able to do. I got out everything except some stain from dog vomit that was sick on some special medication.

Is there something I'm missing here? I didn't see any indication that the quilt was confined within the pillowcase. I'm sure that none of my quilts would fit inside a pillowcase.

I let the quilt soak overnight with Dawn, and all the pink was gone in the morning. Thanks for all the suggestions!

I had to re-read the post. I didn't see that the quilt was inside the pillowcase. My quilts wouldn't fit inside a pillowcase either.
