Default For my brother

Hand quilted. The white border around the star was taken from our great grandmother's bedspread. The spread was found in a box that was under water in my moms flooded house, really bad shape. I was able to cut enough good pieces for this quilt and one for myself (not quilted yet). Hard to see, but there are beautiful designs in the white.
Picture will not flip! Sorry.

Wow. Seeing the quilt after reading your story, it’s like you’ve made a phoenix rise from ashes. How special to create a treasure with so much connection to your history.

Nice save! Beautiful quilt for your brother. Be sure to share yours when it’s finished. :-)

Great quilt. I love the blocks surrounding the center... it's a great way to expand the size of any quilt when perhaps you have is scraps.
