Default I need suggestions as to covering my needle plate

A single hole plate is not available for my Baby Lock Decorator's Choice machine.
I need suggestions as to how to cover it to use as a single hole plate. I am sewing 1x1 inch squares
that are difficult to sew with the zig zag plate.

You might try google. I use a straight stitch for 99% of my sewing but Pfaff came with it. Wish you great good luck with your search. I've heard of quilters using (for instance) template plastic with a single hole taped on top of your zig-zag plate.

For a quick fix, put a piece of masking tape over it. Put your needle down and up once to make a hole. Take a pin and wiggle it around a little bit, to slightly enlarge the hole. That's it - you're ready to go!

The best thing is, it's easy and cheap to replace.

Good idea, Jennifer. You might also use a small piece of card stock taped over your throat plate and do the same thing.

Masking tape or painters tape work really well. I remove my zig zag plate and put about 3 layers of painters tape over it and a little on the underside. This keeps the edges from lifting. I then put the unthreaded needle through for a starter hole and get stitching.
