Default Fussy Cutting Practice - Pattern Matching

I just started participating in a fussy cutting sew along on Instagram. This is my first attempt at pattern matching. The goal of this technique is to chop up an image and then piece it back together using hexies and epp. It's not perfect but good enough.

If you are interested in learning this technique Mr. Domestic has a good tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOpabpT20mc

My children tease me that the definition of a quilter is someone who cuts perfectly good fabric into small pieces and then proceeds to reassemble the pieces to make fabric. We have all heard this loving definition, but your hexes epitomize that remark. I would love to see a picture of the original fabric before you redesigned it into this lovely peacock. Your work is stunning. And, I, for one, think it is perfect!
