Default enabeling friends Gold Hibbard close to me.

So I swore off more treadles.. really again and then a friend turns me on to this. Gold Hibbard

Huh???

VS machine, treadle drive Chain lift, two shuttles, 5 bobbins in the case with some rotaries ( grin) beautiful cabinet, wooden pittman arm and the store is moving. gotta re-think. What furniture can leave? Stack another treadle?

Steve refers to the "Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Company" of Chicago, and that it was the company that started the True Value Brand (Sold it in 1962)"

Just starting the info quest.

It got away. Store closed yesterday after I left it, but someone else bought it. Hope it will be used or at least admired and not be turned into a lamp. Signs still at the curb today , but it was locked up. sigh. Oh well.I have plenty to keep me busy.

I love it! Too bad it got away - with I had been the one that picked it up.

I am hoping someone on this board got it.

It's ok though. I have some other mighty pretty ones. and I hadn't even figured out who made it yet. National? Davis.?

Oooo, the little bobbin holders for the spindle shaped bobbins. Hmm, wonder if the engineer can copy that??

Davis is the manufacturer of that machine.

Thanks Cathy, I was leaning that direction.

the madpatter, I would think that drilling holes into a block of wood would do it.
