Default Appliqué baby quilt start

One of My nieces is expecting her first baby. I spent a couple hours putting these ( woodland critters together) then just started laying them here & there on a background. Advice? Other ideas for a pleasing layout would be welcome.

she is having a little girl. I’m not totally committed to this background. Everything is flannel

Great layout. Maybe a touch more pink for the border?

VERY cute! Love the color's too.
If you wanted to add something - big if, because it's really darlin' just like it is - maybe a tree or tree trunk to the center area & the animals hiding in, behind & in front of it? Just a thought. But honestly, it's absolutely precious as is. This is what I made for my great-nephew to show you what I mean by a tree and/or tree trunk.

Can't wait to see your finished project!

It looks adorable! The only thing I might change is the location of the fawns. They just look out of proportion to the other animals (even tho we do grow some pretty big raccoons around here and not that baby will ever notice!) I like the idea of a tree with a branch that the birdie could sit on. Sure hope you'll show us your progress.

Maybe I could bring things ( down a bit ) & move the fawns up so the look like they are farther away ( to make up for the proportions) I will play with it a little more.
I like the idea of adding another tree...
i will post a new picture when I decide ( this is it. ) the shower is June 2 so need to get it done.
