Default B/W with a Pop of Color HSTs

2017/2018 Challenge Projects from our Guild. Making a project with b/w and a pop of color. Another one was to use the method of lady from Down Under making 48 HSTs at a time. So I decided to combine the two projects. My goal was to get so good at making them that I would not lose a point and not spend countless hours ripping and fiddling until I finally got it right as has been my experience in the past. So it started as a wall hanging or some other small project. It just grew and grew. Finally, the final designation is an utility quilt. I have two grandsons playing football and here in the Midwest the weather gets cold. I finally have given up to try and enjoy their playing. I. don't. do. Cold!! It has a few hiccups and misalignments but you would never notice on a galloping horse. Follow the 20/20 rule. I found there was no magic in the system but rather attention to details. I made up the design. I have a few regrets but got tired of making HSTs by any method. Hey, it is an utility quilt. The ants won't mind. The Bloc Loc ruler was an so valuable.

It lovely. I don't mind the HST, but I hate flying geese. Your sports quilt is wonderful.

That's gorgeous! It seems that grey is big right now in a lot of things and I really like it a lot. Never did before!
