We Give A Hoot owl comfort quilt finished
I made this quilt using the Zig Zag Zoom pattern, but I went scrappy with the blocks and strips. The large squares were cut from fabric that was printed up in the squares, so I cut 9P with the owls in them, then tried to make my scrappy blocks for the strip rows the same size.
The fact of having foux 9P blocks for the larger square added a new dimension to the pattern as the pieced strips appear to go thru the larger blocks.
I am very pleased with the result.
The backing is fun owls with a saying that is often used for those who have breast cancer, as does the recipient of this comfort quilt.
She has a fondness for owls so that's why I picked these fabrics.

This is so very cool looking. Just love the scrappy fabric choices and the owl theme for your friend. The back is fantastic... Lol.... Love the saying. Well done!!! May she find comfort from your loving stitches...
