Default Virtual Quilting Weekend--8/3-8/5/18

Welcome! It's time for another Virtual Quilting Weekend. For newcomers, I hope you can join us as we share what we're working on this weekend and encourage each other over. All you do is post what you're working on and feel free to share photos of your projects too. But don't be surprised if you pick up a few ideas for future projects when you see what others are quilting! And for those who are cleaning/organizing their rooms (or shopping those sales this weekend!) yes that counts too!

I have several WIPs (works in process) that I would like to finish this weekend so I won't feel guilty about starting new projects next week.

Before I forget, the next VQW will be September 1-3 (Labor Day for we Americans).

I am in. I have a Burgoyne Surrounded that I am quilting. It is queen size and just has crosshatch quilting. But the lines are spaced at 1.5" apart and seem to be taking forever. Hope to get that bugger done and bound this weekend.

Love these VQWs! Last weekend I spray basted 4 tops, so my work is ready to go... Also started a new BH design - Jamestown Landing for my DS and his wife in gray/neutrals and indigos, most of the string blocks are done for that one but lots of HSTs to sew!

Hi everyone! I missed the last VQW, so I'm going to try everything I can to join in this one! I have all my summertime themed blocks from our QB Summertime swap already to be made into a top. I hope to make some more blocks for my Hunters Star quilt I am making out of a FQ bundle that was given to me several years ago if I have time. We will be water-blasting and painting one of the sheds this weekend, then having the in-laws over for my father-in-law birthday on Sunday, so we will see how much I can actually get done!

I have never participated in the virtual weekend but I am in. I'm working on a wall hanging for my sister that must be in the mail no later than Monday so this will give me the push I need to get it done.

I am continuing to hand quilt my Converging Streets and am thinking of making a table runner that I drew up in EQ5. It's called Batik Rings. Someone here made one a few years ago, and I fell in love with it.

I'm feeling better now, so I'm in. I'm not sure what I'll be working on. I have to put away the fabrics I didn't use for my string quilt, move the Juki back to that space and then decide what my next project will be. Oh, and I'm still working on taking the paper off my string quilt top. Looking forward to seeing what everyone is working on!

I’m in! Thanks for hosting again.

My first project is to finish sewing a charity top that has 6” squares and will measure around 68” by 80” when finished.
