Default Working With Cork

I had to try this...not quilting but still sewing. I have been wanting to try cork on my embroidery machine...please don't ask me where I got the designs...I buy a lot of designs so it is hard to remember where I get them all!

I recently went on a shop hop and every shop had cork for sale - some in beautiful patterns and colors. One of the participants had made a cork wallet and I was impressed. Apparently it sews just like fabric?

I found it in the Home Dec fabrics at Hobby Lobby. It sews just like regular fabric but I would not recommend pressing it.

Those are pretty. I love seeing different projects to make on the EMB machine.

There is also a fabric line I have used that mimics cork with many colors in the collection.

These are very cute. I wish I had a embroidery machine. What are they? wallets? card folder? I bought some cork and I have a tote pattern I will put the cork on the bottom half of the tote.

Sewsweetness.com is a great source for cork fabric and information about sewing with cork. She has tons of free tutorials.
