Default pyramid log cabin?

I just finished this quilt top from a workshop I took. The instructor called it a Pyramid Log Cabin, but when I googled that just now, what came up didn't match what I made. If anyone knows the real name of it, I would appreciate that information. Just curious, really, no other reason.

I am pleased with the quilt, though I wish now I had done it in my traditional color....purple.

Thanks for looking.

Dina

I can’t help you with the name but it certainly suits your quilt - which is beautiful!

Nothing wrong with the colors you chose...you can always make another one in purple :-) I love this pattern and yours turned out really nice!

i love it!
your color choices give it real dimension.
it looks about 2 feet taller in the center than at the borders.
maybe that's why somebody called it "pyramid."

Very pretty quilt in the colors you used. Hopefully, that is refreshing. I know that I am a user of lots of purple. I like the apparent dimension in your quilt.

It's pretty! It would've been prettier in purple, ha ha!
