Default Who needs books?

I just came to a realization tonight. I was looking for a place for some of the overflow from my sewing room, and noticed some space in my office. Now I know that it isn't that I have too many machines, but I have too many books! There is a lot room for more machines if I thin out some books.

I thinned out my book collection a couple of years ago. It was ridiculous! I only saved my special favorites of my own and my boys when they were little. I don't miss any of the books I donated. I had probably 3 floor to ceiling bookcases!
Love your machines!

That is a nice machine assortment. I have too many books also. I think I even have some from college. As if I need them for reference. LOL. Good luck on your purging of books. If you do, the reward will be a nice display of machines. Maybe I need more machines to inspire me.

Okay, I must ask.... is that a 99 in the front on the left, and was that adorable box custom-made? I love it!!

I'm keeping all my books, but on the bottom shelves there are a couple of sewing machines, a 99, a 201, a Phoenix,...

I often tell my husband that you can't have too many books or sewing machines.

Yes, the three machines on the left are 99s.
The custom made box I made from some oak that I salvaged from pallets.

Most of the "stuff" in all my books is now available on line. No need to keep any of them. I actually do better with a video than instructions in a book and from the "puter" I can print out any page. The printing press is obsolete.
