Default Jacob’s Ladder using charm lacks

Does anyone have a pattern for a Jacob’s Ladder quilt using charms. I have three new charm packks and I want to do something with them. I have only seen the Jacobs Ladder done with just two colors. Would it work with charms.

The 2 color jacobs ladder quilts are striking and I do love those. I have been working on this one for .... waay too long. I will get it done sooner or later. I am not using charm packs but I like all of the different colors that am using.

I don't know if the pattern lends itself to using 5" precuts.. I would have to think about that

QuilterGary, your question made me curious. I’ve really only seen Jacob’s ladder in two colors myself. I just did a search with “scrappy jacob’s ladder quilts” and some really pretty pics popped up. It’s a great idea! You should go for it and post a pic when you’re done!

I think Jenny Doan has a YouTube tutorial for making JL with charms.

OK I just went and did a search and she actually has two:

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Dp1kbVut_1s

The Cheddar and white one is made with all charm squares.

haha, thankyou magicmoonmusings....the colours are a bit washed out in the photo...more vibrant in "real life" but by the time I had finished it I was well and truly sick of it so I gave it to my daughter. Now, every time I visit her and see it on her couch I think "hmmm, not so bad after all....I wonder if I can ask for it back"!

Super great quilt, ruby2shoes. Love the vibrant colors. I think this thread is great. I plan to look at the Jenny Doan video. Nice idea to try to use charms.

Both quilts are beautiful! Great way to use up scrappies.

Nice ideas. I've been looking for a pattern using 2 colors but various fabrics in those 2 colors. Wouldn't this pattern work with using controlled scrappy 2-colorway? Been collecting 10" squares, fat quarters and yardage. Purples and yellows to be exact. Need to figure out what pattern to use by March and have it ready to take to my quilt retreat. Thanks for the idea using Jacobs Ladder.
