Default What size squares do you think would work the best here?

I saw a Domino quilt Pattern (see link below), that I think would be a great charity quilt.

I'd rather not buy the pattern, because it is pretty simple, but my question is, what size
domino square do you think would work the best here? 6"? 8"? Other?

    Thanks!

That is cute. I would make large circles. At least 3 inches and see how big to cut the background once I have the circles cut and layed out

I'd figure out what size my whole quilt was going to be first.
You need blocks big enough for the dots and to stand out.
If you did a 48"x56" quilt, the blocks could be 8".
A 42" x 54" quilt, you could use six inch blocks evenly.
That would be a nice sized charity quilt.
Not sure what size you usually do.
Even a 36" x 48" would use six inch blocks. Sounds good
    to me. Like this

For donation quilt, I'd do larger block option. Really cute pattern...

For my donation quilts for kids I try for 43 x 57". I buy crib size batting and use regular yardage width for backs. Some need a border others don't. I make up my own design.

Depends on what size quilt you want, 6 or 8 inch squares would look nice.

Maybe 8" squares would work so then you could get good size dots on the blocks. Please share with us when you decide and show a picture.

You could do your dice as 5" squares and 1" dots with 1/2" between them & the ends. Or larger blocks if in a hurry to make the quilt.

I would make 8" or 9" blocks to leave enough room for decent sized dots.

I think 8” so you can cut large circles. Maybe cut one square and lay it out on background with some dots and see what you think.
