Default Another star quilt

I continue to bind my pile of quilt tops....carpal tunnel slowing me down big time. Want to hand bind anything for family but may break down and machine quilt a couple to see how they turn out.

This one is for my sister and was named ‘Milky Way’ from an episode of the Midnight Quilt Show. I loved the fabric in the FQ bundle....not so much in this quilt but learning lessons along the way. I hope you can’t see the machine quilting because it was one of my first attempts and it is pretty dodgy!

I really like it too. Great colors and pattern. I even like the wild yellow and black swirls fabric as it add movement. Your sister will love it!

Fun design!

I machine sew all quilt bindings. Sometimes I use a pretty decorative stitch but mostly the 3.0 straight stitch. Labels are sewn into two corners of the quilt binding so there are only two edges to hand stitch.

Beautiful! She will treasure it!

I hand sew all my bindings. I tried to machine stitch them and made a horrible mess ... But, I really enjoy this bit of handwork. I've seen other binding that were done with a decorative stitch that were very pretty. I'm sure yours will be lovely.
