Default Crossroads quilt top is finished.

I finished this top from the book Tributes and Treasures by Paula Barnes and Marry Ellen Robison last night. I know browns and dark reds and blues are not everyone's favorite colors, but I love them. They are very much in keeping with the theme of the book which is "vintage-inspired quilts made with reproduction prints." There are 18 different fabrics in the center blocks. It's hard to tell from the photo, but the border fabric has red and blue in it too. I had always been more of a modern quilt lover until I saw this book. It has inspired me to make two of the patterns so far. The border fabric was actually designed by Paula Barnes, so I think she would approve. It finished at 71x88, a little bigger than the pattern, but I cut the border a little wider to achieve the look I wanted from the border fabric. I have no home for this one yet, so it may languish in the to-be-quilted pile for a bit.

I love it. I especially like how the border was done. Can't wait to see how you quilt it.

Your quilt would be perfect for a guy quilt. I like that pattern a lot.

Love your quilt and really like reproduction fabric. Paula Barnes is a favorite of mine and so is Mary Ellen Robison.
