Your quilt is lovely. I bought a book of civil war quilt blocks years ago to make one for our son who is a buff about Civil War history since both sides of his ancestors fought in the Civil War. Sad to say I haven't made one block yet. I am kept busy making crib quilts for 12 great grandchildren and wedding quilts for my 7 grandchildren. I also make quilts for my family when someone graduates from high school. I don't have that much free time to quilt but this example makes me determined to finally start on a Civil War quilt.
