I can see it just fine. That being said, many redworks at quilt shows have bold colors for the sashing and borders. I find that they drown out the fine work of the hand embroidery.

All I know is it will be absolutely beautiful when it is done. I hope you are very proud of your handiwork. I can see it very well.

I like it. A lot. You could change the thread to a solid blue instead of the variegated. The last embroidered blocks I did, I used my inktense pencils with a blending medium and a brush to paint the the trees and etc. I ironed it to make it permanent. You could use color crayons like the do at
https://www.crabapplehillstudio.com.
They have videos of both using the pencils and the crayons.

What is it that you are not liking about the floss?

Yes, I can see it ... and quite like the effect of the variegated, for some variety.
To me a solid blue of any shade, would be harsher, and this gives some movement and life to it.

Of course, the overall finish will be dependent on how you coordinate the floss
with any other fabrics you bring into the mix.

Re the pattern ... is this an online EOM? or a purchased pattern?
I'd be interested in doing it as an EOM, myself, so would appreciate a link to it.
Please? and Thanks!
