Default Trying something new.

I love batiks, and autumnal colours but have decided to challenge myself with a completely different type of project and it is certainly that! I was gifted a Carl Hentsch book and have been using several of his blocks to make a quilt...well, that's the plan......I'm sort of going for a garden theme. I plan to use a different floral feature fabric and accompanying complimentary colours for each of my rows. The blocks are 10" and each row will have 7 blocks. Each row will have a different styled geese and blades pattern, using Carls' foundation paper pieced blocks from the book. So far, I've done 2 blocks and am exhausted and looking for my sunglasses LOL!!!!
Whilst I am very comfortable with fpp, curved piecing is certainly a new challenge for me! Any advice or tips for curved piecing would be great!!

You are right about the bright and I for one love it. To see something like this says anything is possible and your block is beautiful!

He makes one of my favourite patterns ever...Laser Disc, in that book. I've always wanted to try it but was worried it was too advanced for me.
