Default Bernina 770QE owners- my knee lift clicks- does yours?

It's really bugging me. At the beginning of stitching it makes a clicking sound. I have adjusted the part, machine, table, and it's still doing it.
I've searched the entire net but can't find out why.

Just to be certain I put my hand on it while starting and it was coming from the knee lift.

TIA

I have the 570 QE and no such sound. Can you pull it out and put it back in? It's supposed to hang at a diagonal towards your right knee, not hang plumb.

Yes, be sure it is in all the way as not always easy to tell. No clicking with mine, but I have struggled a little with getting it in properly. I absolutely love the knee lift, I use it all the time. After a while the knee lift is just like another hand, you don't even think about it, you just use it automatically. The clicking would drive me crazy, and I bet an easy fix, so definitely pursue it with the dealer.

I will. Actually my next door neighbor has worked at our local Bernina shop for years. I can have her come over and check it out. I know that clicking isn't normal.
As you said- the knee lift is awesome! It is like a third hand for sure.

Mine does too, but I'm pretty sure it's my knee, not the machine.

I have a knee like that! And now I have an ankle that doesn't bend too well. Some days I feel like I'm a mess

I'd be lost without my knee lift, in fact, that's what's keeping me from buying a lighter machine for travel, I haven't been able to find one I like that has a knee lift and isn't almost as heavy as my main machine.
