Hello, thank you for letting me join.
As said Im in the UK, Im a retired dressmaker but have only ever made patchwork cushions but have decided to jump in the deep end and make a quilt so will no doubt be asking lots of questions, other than cutting and joining pieces to make the blocks havnt got a clue what to do, its going to be a huge learning curve for me so will be very greatful for all your help

Welcome from Texas! I think you will like this quilting board. It has tons of helpful quilters who are ready & willing to help. Ask as many questions as you can think of. You will be glad you started to learn to quilt. It's a fun hobby.

So glad to have you with us. I'm waving hello from the Seattle, Washington area, a little south of Vancouver, British Columbia. If you don't mind rain, it's a lovely part of the world.
When I first started quilting the 1/4" seam seemed so tiny compared to what I was used to! You've got a great head start on many that you have experience with fabric and great sewing skills.
