    Default Mountain Elk, by me

I'm not a fan of working with panels but my hubbie saw this panel at a local quilt show and thought it would be perfect for my cousin who is an avid hunter....namely Elk. So, I designed a quilt for him on EQ8 and used Northcutt's Naturescape fabrics to make this. As much as a dislike brown, I weathered through this and enjoyed seeing my design come to life. The size is 67 x 73 and will be backed with brown minky. I love EQ8. The pine trees are paper pieced and the block is found in EQ8 design gallery. Fun project but I'm ready for black, white, and bright again. lol...

You have done a very fine job on this one. I know what it is to work on a quilt that is outside your comfort zone. With this quilt you would never have known.

You did great with that panel, Teen. There are 'panel quilts' and there are 'panel quilts'... and yours is definitely a step above the ordinary! Love your setting, especially the little trees. Great man quilt!

Perfect example of what can be done with a panel to make it so much more than a picture on a piece of fabric. Your creativity, one again, shows beautifully in your quilt creation.
