Default Pellon Batting

If you have used Pellon Batting, what did you think of it?

I prefer Pellon Nature’s Touch to Warm and Natural.

I purchased my first Pellon batting before this lockdown and have not used it yet but I like the feel of it. It seems to compare to W&N in my opinion. I won't be sure how it feels in a quilt until I get to use it in a quilt I am working on now. I have a couple of obligations that I must take care of first before I can go back to the quilting project this is intended for.

I have used one roll and we loved it. I found it comparable to Warm and Natural.

I have used one package of it and I liked it. It's not as readily available on sale around here, that's the only reason I haven't used it more.

I’m on my second roll of the cotton one. I like it a lot.

I bought one a few years ago and hung it up to use as a design wall for awhile. I was working on something that was a certain size that should have fit but didn't. Weeks had gone by before I noticed that the batting was 4 inches shorter than the package said. I had kept the package, so it wasn't just my memory failing. By that time I'd had it too long to take back to the store. I thought the batting was okay, but I wouldn't buy it again after that experience.

It should be said that Pellon makes several products that may be considered different kinds of batting. The one I'm talking about here was a cotton quilt batt that looked similar to Warm and Natural. I don't remember the exact name of it. The one I bought may have been a fluke at the end of a run or something,. I think you should go ahead and buy it if you like it, but be sure to check the measurements right away.

A quilting friend gave me what she called as Pellon when we worked on Vet's quilts--what she gave me I did not like at all--it was linty compared to Hobbs.

I have the Pellon that is 50/50 - and it is fine and very easy to use. Personally I do not like the 100 per cent cotton because of the amount of shrinkage. I bought it by the roll and it was on sale for a very good price online and it was delivered to the house, which was a very big plus.. It seems to hold up very well. But now I have fallen in love with wool so won't be buying it again.
