    Default Scratches on Machine

I have a Janome 2000 sewing machine. After almost 20 years of sewing my machine bed as quite a few scratches from safety pins. Has anyone found a solution for removing thiese marks. Thank you for any light you can shed.

It's often recommended to use high quality car wax on vintage machines. You might check with the vintage sewing machine group for a specific brand recommendation, as I've only used TR-3 and I think it's hard to find now.

However, if it's what we (of the vintage machine lovers ilk) call "pin rash", it's not likely to be repairable, but will look somewhat better. Pin rash describes what is usually a place on the arm of the machine where sewers used to wrap fabric and use as a pin cushion.
