I had about 4 bags of scraps also and finally decided to do pre-cuts, 2.5, 5 and 10 inch when I could. Took me a week of afternoons work. Then I find more scraps stashed away in my cutting table! I will work myself up to getting these done soon....

I just love this idea about the way you cut and put together this quilt. I have used the adding machine tape several times and it works great,

You and your husband have both been productive and you've made a beautiful quilt. Love the diagonal pattern, and that it's for CASA. I've only been using fabric from my collection (except for backings), but haven't made a dent. Like your idea of using a soft, cheap blanket from Walmart for backing without batting, too. Thanks!
