Default December post card swap Christmas tree or makers choice.

We will be making One fabric postcard.
This swap is open to all levels of sewing.
*Please post pictures of postcards you receive.
* Cards must measure approx 4" × 6"
* Must be predominantly sewed and/or quilted. Embroidery by hand or machine is also welcome.
* Must have some type of finished edge.
* There are tutorials on YouTube if you need some references.
* Pinterest has many good ideas if you need some inspiration to kick off your creative juices. *If you can take a picture of you postcard before you send it, it would be appreciated. That way if your partner cannot post a picture for some reason, then you can post it. We all love looking at each other's work.
* Note: We will only be sending postcards due to the price of postage. Please let me know if you can send internationally. It costs around $1.15.
*Sign ups start ***Now***. and end November 30
*Names assigned Dec 2
*International Postcards should be sent out by the 10th of the month

Any ideas for 2021 post cards would be appreciated

The only suggestion I can think of: Color of the month with your choice of design but must be mainly in the monthly color. I'm terrible at ideas so I am sure others can make better suggestions.

Sounds good Lena. I don't think we have colours attached to our months here in OZ,but I may be wrong so could you name them for us who don't know ? Thanks. Have you all received Nov cards? I haven't received any of my swaps since August. Must be a drought!

I haven't received any of my four swaps . The ones I have sent have been received except for one , I am thinking it must be the incoming Australian post where the hold up is . The covin 19 and Christmas makes post slower. I have never heard of the months having colours either Marion. Let us know Lena Suggestion could be At the beach

This is sort of one idea. Or m-fay could just randomly choose a color for the month. I didn't know this idea had been used previously. I began with the first Calendar Holidays of the Month. I think of post cards as small challenges and a way to stretch my techniques or try new ones.

If Months Were Colors
If months were colors, here is the palette:

January - White
Fresh start, lots of snow

February - Red
Valentine's Day, cozy evenings

March - Gray
Cabin fever sets in, sides of road are gross

April - Pink
Buds are blossoming under gentle rain

May - Blue
Optimism abounds as days get warmer

June - Yellow
Sunshine, beaches and good cheer

July - Orange
Searing, steamy summer days and nights

August - Gold
Heat reaches its apex, dog days abound

September - Purple
School colors, civic pride, productivity

October - Orange
Leaves in full color, Halloween

November - Brown
Cornucopia of harvest, turkey graces table

December - Green and Red
Christmas wrapping, elves and candy canes

Would love to join again. Hopefully I am making my post card ok. I enjoyed the ones I received, and I posted pics of them, hope that's ok.
I mailed out R-sea postcard on Nov 9th......and a package in another swap same day , neither have reached destination. The package one says it departed Sydney on 23 Nov and passed thru an Australian facility on 27 Nov and is headed to its destination... It took almost 2 weeks just to get from the US to Sydney.....talk about the long way around....It appears the package spent a long time in Chicago, IL...seeing the sites I suppose..
