Apparently, there is a way to recycle your shipping boxes and help others, too! Here's an article from Consumer Affairs.

Sounds good but beware. When you sign up you will be giving permission for endless telemarketing calls and emails. Nothing is simply a good thing anymore, there is always a catch.

I checked out the link in the article. I didn't have to sign up for anything, but it's not free, either. You click on the charity you want to donate to, then pay $15 for the shipping label. That was as far as I went, because I can simply take the Amazon box to my charity of choice for free. Curious, since the article says the charity pays for the shipping...
