Omg, what a beauty. But expensive!

I ran across this ad while cruising around on Craigslist

A very well written ad.

A featherweight is on my wish list.

I have 2 fw's and love them both. They are both standard black but nonetheless both useable and a lot of fun to play with. I made a recent quilt top on one of them. This sweetie is pretty but out of my budget.

I have 4 FW's one hot pink one blue one green and one black. I had three others but gave one to a sister one to one of my 4H student, and sold one. the only one I want right now is a deep purple, but do not see it in my furture, the tan one is beautiful machine I can see why any one would want it.

I have a white FW and a couple of black ones and I like my blacks a lot better.
But that's a beauty!

Beautiful FW but way out of my price range. I bought one from a friend and didn't pay that much.

Ouch! Do the tan ones really bring that kind of $$? I paid around $400 for my black one, but that was 25 or so years ago.

Interesting. An auctioneer handled my Aunt’s (by marriage) estate & quoted me $300 so over the phone I offered $250 & he said ok. I went to pick it up and my mouth dropped as I was expecting black but it was celery green with an aqua tone case. Has 1961 original sales receipt ($100 plus tax). Barely used so I feel fortunate. Later he saw me & told me (with a grin) I had stolen it for that price but he said since I was a niece it was ok.
