Lurking again. The quilts are gorgeous! Beautiful blocks and settings. Well done, group!

I just realized that I have not checked in for a while. How is everyone doing? It has been a lovely level of busy for me. I just finished my first commissioned quilt and have been steaming through my scraps, mostly 2.5's and a bin of batiks that needed to be thinned out. No other finishes yet but should have some by the end of the month.

Chin up and keep stitching away on your HJ quilts. I am ready to see more progress photos. I still love mine and when I walk past it, I can hardly believe that I made that quilt.

WMUTeach, a commissioned quilt! How exciting!

I am plodding away constructing my sashing pieces (they are not as interesting as those blocks were).

Making the sashing means you are getting close to the finish line! Good for you, Joe'smom!

Here is a picture of the commissioned quilt. I am so glad it is out the door. Making a quilt specific for someone who is paying for our efforts is more like "work" and less like pleasure, I discovered. Not a bad experience but a different quilting vibe for sure.
