Hey guys!
Wanted to share a project of mine.



This is a portable sewing machine table with a built-in motor, mechanical speed reducer, speed control with continuous RPM support, light, 220\110v switch, and a capacitor-based pedal for a vintage hand-operated embroidery machine Singer 114w103.

I sew denim, this was a hefty side project I took based on the previous tables I made for myself back in the day.

Could you explain "capacitor-based pedal"? I have heard of carbon pile, resistor and electronic, but not capacitor-based.

That is absolutely my typo and translation mistake.
Meant resistor-based. Sorry.



Basically, I just put a variable resistor into the pedal.
The board I used is a pre-made one with TDA1085, a common solution for lathes and other similar motor-based equipment, that allows sustaining the RPM with variable loads (in the case with the chainstitch embroidery machine: variable thickness, turns, fabric drag, etc.).
