Default To Border or Not to Border? That is the question...

I made the blocks in the border of this quilt for something else. They didn't look good in that quilt.

I put them next to this panel, and they found a home! It currently measures 44 inches x 50 inches.

Should I add a border or not?

If so, how wide and what color would you use?

Not the answer you're looking for - I love it just as it is, but it would look wonderful with a border to bring it all together. One thing sure, you can't go wrong. As for a color suggestion if you added a border, for some reason a rich forest-y green comes to mind. Or maybe yellow. Sorry, I'm being no help whatsoever, but I liked it so much I wanted to put my two cents in.

I would leave it as is. Just add a bright binding to it.

Or even just a dark green binding to "frame" it.

I'd add a red binding - it really looks complete the way it is. Cute!

I agree, just a bright color binding would finish it off nicely.

i think it looks great as it is. but if you want, you could add a thin border that somehow matches or coordinates with that thin blue star inner border on the panel. that may frame it well
