I made my mother a tote bag. She had hinted that she would enjoy having one like our guild makes for one of our Service Projects.

Please share what project you have made your mother for Mother's Day...

I made my Mom a wall hanging from a kit that I picked up at a thrift store. Someone had started it with hand sewing and I finished it with machine quilting and some added embellishments. I also made her an appliqued mug rug that has a cone flower on it.

The last gift I made my mother was a bag for her walker.

My Mom has been dead since 1984.

We kids use to make her gifts at school she liked them. They were put away and she never used them.

I just gave my sister a little wall hanging of a raw edge applique skunk. She likes to change out the wall hangings with the seasons. I guess it is now "skunk" season.

One year I made my Mom coordinating pillowcases and she loved them.I also made lavender sachets but not just for Mother's Day. She used them all the time.

My mom is a very active 98 going on 99. I knit her a shawl for times when she's sitting on her back porch.

Oh my gosh! I just made such a cute gardening apron for my daughter. It was on the EmbroideryDesign.com webpage. I did the embroidery work as well on my embroiderymachine but this free pattern could be made without the embroidery work. One could use an applique design or nothing at all. Great pattern and it really turned out. She will love it!!

I made a shoulder bag and matching wallet and then added some cash and some pretty stuff from the Hallmark store and shipped it off.

I emailed her, "I sent you a package, but it's for Mother's Day, so you can't open it until then."

I told my husband, "I'll bet she ignores the email." Sure enough... she "didn't get the email" until after she got the package.
