My favorite tutorials are by Donna Jordan. I have made several of her Summer Breeze pattern, which is a kaleidoscope and just recently she posted another called Roundabout, which seems to be similar to Summer Breeze but I have not compared the 2 patterns to see how they compare. Both are free patterns.
These are the type that there are rotating visions throughout, not the one block wonder ones.

If I did another one of those, I'd paper piece it. Way less margin for error.

i agree. Start with Jordan Fabrics on YouTube and see how that goes. She explains everything so well.

Jordan Fabrics has a good tutorial. Matt shows how to line up the fabric, cut it, etc. I think it might be a two-part tutorial. I've watched it a few times and will make one "sometime".

The one she just did sucked me right in... Yes, I bought the kit - something I never do!

I made my own pattern after seeing one on the cover of a magazine. Drew a circle, divided into 8 pieces (pie shapes) and added 1/4" SA. Same with the piece that completed the block. This is my go to quilt!
