Default Artista 730

I just came into possession of this machine. All the embroidery attachment and everything my friend had for this machine. I haven't even begun to learn the embroidery part. It is a steep learning curve. I have had an Active 135S since I purchased it new in about 2004. Now off to learn this new machine.

have fun. The higher end bernina's defiantly have a learning curve. I just got a 590 and am learning. I am enjoying it.

I have an older Artista 180 that I just love. You might try youtube to see if there are any videos to help you or visit a long established Bernina dealer who have been around long enough to help with this machine.

Have fun! Remember that Google is your friend (sometimes!) I've been amazed at the quantity of information available online.

I have an older 170, another great machine that is my piecing workhorse. I went to the Bernina machines because for some reason their feed dogs work such that you do not have to worry that your piece under the needle will "swing" at the end of the piece.

I had another premium machine brand when I started and I had to be very careful as at the end of any seam the feed dogs pulled the fabric sideways, which is a disaster in quilt piecing where accuracy is an issue. That was a machine more suited to wonky design! It was a lovely machine but for that one quirk.
