Hi, I am needing advise how to put these 2 fabrics into one quilt. Its going to be a lap quilt for my mom. I thought at 1st to fussy cut a panel from the birds but then maybe from the butterfly's and cut out the birds and add as squares????

I wanted to just do a panel then add borders but dont know if i can get away with the butterfly's in there also

I agree - too pretty to cut.

problem is I am not a machine quilter let alone a hand quilter, and I dont have the time to hand quilt. I was just going to tie this. I am letting the bird's talk to me.

Maybe take the butterfly and make a panel out of it then fussy cut some of the birds out as corners, part of a border????

I like the birds as the center pannel.

Can you do a panel on the front and back, and use the other fabrics as borders?

I like this idea.

Any particular reason to HAVE to use the butterflies and birds on the same surface?

They are both lovely fabrics, but the butterflies seem "big" compared to the birds and not in good proportion to/with each other. Just my opinion.
