Default Craftsy?

A newsletter (non quilting related) I received recently included information that Craftsy is coming back. Is this true? Has anyone else heard this? I used it minimally for free stuff in the past, and one pattern that I purchased, Then with all the changes Craftsy went through, that vendor was not "renewed". Luckily I had downloaded the pattern to two sources for future reference.

The new owner of Craftsy has started it back up about a year ago. Membership is low for the first year. I think I paid about $3. All the classes I had bought from the old Craftsy were still available. The old app doesn't work anymore you have to go to the main site. If you bought patterns or classes they are still there.

If you do get a membership, be sure to immediately call and tell them to take the "auto renew" off of your account, so you don't get charged a million bucks next year.

I love Craftsy and watch all sorts of videos.

I cancel all auto memberships as soon as I pay for the first month/year subscription on anything. One exception is Block magazine subscription.

I have been thinking about this for a long time. However I have not taken the leap because I mostly quilt designs that come into my head an I have enough patterns and designs to last a lifetime or 2. So I have stepped back from Craftsy for now. My sister has it and was so glad she didn't loose her classes with the turn over. She has taken to saving them to her computer as PDF files just incase there is a major change over again.

I just joined for $2.49 for a year but will have a careful eye on it so that it doesn't automatically renew. So busy - haven't had a chance to even check it out.
