    Default Christmas Decorations

I made these gingerbread cookie blocks (Lori Holt pattern from Vintage Christmas book) for my daughter and I to decorate during the Christmas holiday. The last few years I have fallen in love with making a small batch of gingerbread cookies at holiday time. We made the patterns for the dress and bow tie ourselves and I used craft felt for them. I used the plaid fabric for the boys because I fell in love with the fabric at the store and had to try it.

Here are dear daughter's blocks. Mine are the same except my buttons are different.

Those are precious. It never hurts to start Christmas projects early. That takes so much stress off during the holiday.

I'm impressed as you are way ahead of the game. I, too, love making gingerbread cookies and for several years when we had pine trees that needed to be culled from the fenced backyard, we used them for Christmas trees. Since the grandkids were still small, I made gingerbread cookies, baked pinecones, paper chains and candy canes to decorate for six years straight. That way I didn't have to worry about the kids, or the 4 large dogs, breaking my good ornaments. Love your gingerbread blocks.
