Yes, I finished a quilt!
It seems like a long while since I posted a finished quilt. This Three-Star quilt was made for a family member who graduated from high school and who is having a late graduation celebration this week-end. It is family tradition that graduates must have a quilt. Searched the stash, added some coordinating fabric and three weeks later. It is ready for gifting, label and all.
My quilt group did this pattern as a mystery a few years ago but I rearranged it to use a consistent background fabric. I like the strong impact of it. I started with a layer cake, "Something Blue" from Edyta Sitar and built from there. The back is the dark blue/green as in four the corners. The quilting was done by a long arm quilter from my Zoom quilting group because I wanted something special for this gift. I love hand stitching, so I stitched away on the binding while listening to an audio book to finish it off.

Woohoo! Look at that finished quilt, good for you. The piecing is gorgeous and I love the quilting. And when you add in the story and the quick turnaround -- amazing, simply amazing.
I understand the feeling that it seems like a long time and I'm hoping to post a picture before then end of the year...
