Very smart looking! Love the blues, too. I wonder the size? The blocks themselves look large, so should go fast for a QOV, but I may would have to adjust the size. Did you use a pattern or did you make it up?

The final size is 71" square. Guess I missed the mark just a little, The pattern says it should be 72" square. Woops!

SallyS, the piecing is really very simple. What took time was the re-planning from the original pattern. The quilt top could be done in a week-end if you don't fuss with color placement and just let the scrappy look lead the way.

I love the quilt and I also liked the way you hung it up to photo it. I am going to use your idea the next time I want to take a picture of a finished quilt. I also make quilts for all of the graduates in our family along with births and weddings. Keeps me buy and out of mischief.

It would be a grand QOV. I did use a pattern but it is broken down into four sections since it was introduced to my quilting group as a mystery quilt. It started out with a layer cake. I would love to find the pattern written straight out as pattern. I will do a search AGAIN , yes I have searched before. If I find it, I will toss it in this thread or even the source of the pattern.

Well I went searching and I found it immediately. How many times have I searched and come up empty? Anyway, it is available via Missouri Star Quilt Company, Triple Barnstar. Quilt away!

Your quilt is lovely. I am quite partial to blue and this pattern is interesting! Now I am inspired and checking out my stash for appropriate blues……. Thanks for sharing!
