    Default Silly Question

We make so many quilts for others and ourselves too, but would you want to receive a quilt as a gift? Perhaps its been asked before but I couldn’t find a thread.
Myself, I really appreciate all crafts and would be very touched, what about you?

Absolutely! My BFF quilts, and her style is totally different than mine. She has made some incredible quilts. She does a lot of paper piecing, and hand quilting. I'd be honored to be gifted one of her quilts.

My dearest quilt friend died and left me a quilt. I treasure it and the thought that she was thinking of me.

Count me in! I love handmade things. If it's from a loved one I will love it even if I don't like it just because they made it.
My favorite Aunt crocheted me a blue and white afghan that I adore even though I'm not crazy about crochet. It's really pretty.. I'm so glad I have it. She also was an artist with oils and I have some of her work.

My good friend passed earlier this year. About 3 years ago, she gave me her county fair blue ribbon winning quilt. It's a turned edge Dresden Plate. I love it because it's pretty, but mostly because she made it.

    Lisa,
I would like to receive a quilt as a gift even though I have made lots of quilts myself in the 40 some odd years I've been quilting because I know how much love is put into the making of a quilt.

I cherish anything handmade by someone I love. My great-aunt made me an afghan for HS graduation - very unusual colors, but I loved it and kept it until it fell apart. No one has ever made me a quilt though, they probably think it would be like bringing coals to Newcastle.

No, I don't want a quilt. There are so many I have kept that I love. My walls are filled.

I actually did receive a quilt as a gift. My husband saw a cute dachshund quilt on eBay several years ago and bought it for me. I love that quilt.
