    Default Sewing Chair

Does anyone have a high table they sew on? And if so, what kind of sewing chair do you use? I have a workbench from Harbor Freight that I love but I cannot find a comfortable sewing chair that adjusts up high enough for this table.

Try a drafters chair, it is what I use for my adjustable height desks, they work great!

Can a drafter's chair be adjusted to about 30 inches?

Yes, I am 6ft tall and prefer a drafting chair for my adjustable height desks, they are much easier for me to get in and out of, thats why I suggested them they are taller than the average office chair. If you Google Drafting Chair you will come up with many to choose from.

If you get a higher chair with wheels, be sure the wheels lock or can be replaced with locking wheels. I learned that the hard way. You can lock just one or two of the wheels so it doesn't roll as easily. Getting into a higher chair with wheels isn't as easy as getting into a regular height chair with wheels.

yes, you need to watch what kind of flooring the wheels are to be used on. hard of carpet. It does make a difference. Sometimes you can buy the wheels you need and just change them out.

Thank you all for your responses. I do have a hard floor. I looked at some drafting chairs on Amazon and read the reviews. Sounds like a good option. I will definitely look for locking wheels. Kinda wish I could find one without wheels.

Horn makes a sewing chair that goes up really high. No arms, but the wheels don't lock.
