Default How to use this ruler?

I have a Quilt in a day squaring ruler, but I lost the directions. Does anyone have one that can tell me how to use it? I’ve checked YouTube but they only have the triangle version tutorial and not the square ruler.

I am pretty sure you would use this the same way you would use a regular ruler, the difference being this has the sizes already outlined for the various sizes to make it easier to square up your blocks. I am sure if you emailed QUID, they would probably send you the instructions. Perhaps someone who has the ruler may have more information for you.

I have one of these and love it. Especially makes squaring up Half square triangles easy. Just put the diagonal line on your square and measure to the size you need. Trim the 2 sides then rotate the square and trim the other 2 sides. Hope this helps. I don't have the instructions either.

If you can find a video for Deb Tucker/Studio 180 Tucker Trimmer, they are very similar in use.

Love Deb's for HSTs and squaring pieced blocks in general.

This ruler does not come with directions. Do as MawMaw B explained above. Unless you are left handed like me it is very easy to use. I always get all turned around trying to use any square up ruler that has the squares already marked on the ruler.

Youtube.com has many really good videos showing how to square up quilt blocks. Just search for Squaring up quilt blocks
Some even use rulers similar to the one that you have.

Directions for all square up rulers are pretty much the same. One important element is to be certain that the block is properly centered when you square it up. Here is one video:

I love mine! I use it all the time and the directions you provide are just right! I would be lost with out it for most sizes. I I have a larger square to square up that is made with HST's I am challenged to use the markings on my cutting matt.

Place the diagonal line down on the tips of your blocks vertically find you size that you are needing to cut and trim, rotate the square and repeat. The square is perfectly square and done.
    Have fun with it.
