Default Mystery block, quilt

A friend was given 20 of these quilt blocks. They are 12x14 and are identical in design but different color combinations. Sadly there was no quilt pattern and the woman they came from has passed. Does anyone recognize the block?

It looks like the blocks when put together, could reveal a bigger design. I do not recognize the pattern of the block.

It would be fun to lay them out and see what combinations you come up with. You may be surprised.

Agree with Tartan. Just put them together and see what you come up with. It will be fun to see what you come up with. In quilting nothing is written in stone so just go with it.

I printed out the picture, then made three more copies.
now been twisting them around to see what shows up.
the block size throws in a unique surprise.
good luck, find some twist you like and go for it.

Very interesting with the dark color part, please show us how you do with testing different layouts.

Default Thank you

Thank you to everyone. That is what I said... just put them on her design wall and play with it. Printing it to play is a great idea

I like that the dark colors make an airplane design with a blue / tan pin wheel.
the other 1/2 squares of tans create a circle of dust .
