Default Lone Star

I started this Lone Star top after Christmas and have had it sandwiched together for a couple weeks. I can’t decided how I want to quilt it. I thought about stitching a quarter inch away from diamond strips and maybe stippling in the background. This is 66 x 84 if I remember rightly.
I have another top started. It’s sewing my QOV scraps together in random order to get to 12 1/2 inch blocks. My sewing is therapy for me. My sister had a heart attack, then stoke days before Christmas. We recently laid her to rest. (A pic of my sister) I sew a while and then cry a while, but while I’m sewing these blocks, it helps me not think about anything else. I have to concentrate on making the most of each scrap piece. It is Jenny Doans latest Triple play with scraps.

((Toogie)), so sorry to hear about your sister's passing. I have no suggestions for quilting your Lone Star but wanted to tell you that I think it is beautiful.

Your quilt is beautiful. I am not good at deciding on a quilting design. Sorry to hear of your sister.

I'm sorry for your family's loss. It must have been a hard few weeks. Love the Lone Star. I'm at a loss for quilting suggestions this morning!

My deepest sympathy goes out to you for the loss of your sister. I know your pain. I lost my only sister in 2014 from cancer. Memories still leak out of my eyes at times too.

Toogie: Words aren't enough to express my sympathy to you for your loss. What a lovely picture of this special lady to you.
Your lone star is beautiful and I think a 1/4" stitching line away from the seams would look perfect. I would do the background in anything you feel comfortable doing.
