    Default 3 Yd Quilt Pattern

I have used this particular pattern on a few quilts. I am exceptionally proud of this one because I had the camera fabric for nearly 8 years. I wasn't confident enough to cut it. I started sewing/quilting back in 2012, so my skills have improved quite a bit. This quilt was made for my son who is in the military. He has many hobbies, but his first one was photography. The longarmer did a great job with the quilting. It almost looks like there are tripods in the design. I have to wait until my son arrives at his new post overseas before I can send it to him. I did the binding on it over the weekend, still have to add the label. I know he will be pleasantly surprised.

I like the way you did the borders. The camera fabric is great!

Very striking quilt. Borders really emphasize your fussy cuts. Nice job!

What a great quilt to emphasize his hobby. My father-in-law loved photography too and took pictures, all identified, during boot camp and during his time overseas in New Guinea and other Japanese occupied islands during World War II. Our son enhanced all the photos in both albums and made a leather bound book with maps, history of the battles and medals etc. as a surprise for my DH one Christmas. Your son will treasure your thoughtfulness forever.

Perfect! You chose the perfect contrast for your sashing. A very beautiful quilt indeed.
